Peter Shoucair’s knowledge, experience, and technical acumen spans two decades and diverse aspects of the event production industry. He is a trained and experienced event planner and production manager, lighting director and technical director. He has worked on events in Aruba, Bahamas, Cancun Mexico, Hawaii, Jamaica, and Orlando, Florida.
Just over the last decade, Peter has been the brain behind the local staging of several highly successful shows and expos in Jamaica to include Montage Wonderworld Cirque de Soleil, Garfield Christmas, the Jamaica Bridal Expo, the Jamaica Alternative Energy Expo, the Jamaica Property Expo, the Jamaica Wellness and Beauty Expo, A Brides Expo Florida, the Caribbean Industry Awards, the Jamaican Food Beverage and Hospitality Expo and worked as event manager for the famous Bliss Bridal Trunk Show.
Peter’s career in the industry started at ABC Radio Networks USA for Slimtraxs as the production manager in Jamaica. He was later recruited as production manager again for ABC Radio festival in Jamaica at Hedonism II Hotel in June 2006 and 2007, where he worked with celebrity acts such as Midnight, Frankie Mazz, and many others. No stranger to high profile artistes, Peter and his company were hired to worked on shows providing lighting with acts like Gladys Knight, Smokey Robinson, James Ingram, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Keyshia Cole, Black Street, The Whispers, amongst numerous others.
Peter Shoucair has been certified in diverse areas of the industry by local and international certifying bodies such as the Wedding Academy, UK, in business event marketing. wedding and event planner (WPIC), business marketing (Wedding Academy) Jamaica travel and honeymoon specialist, tourism travel patterns and destinations, and SM marketing and tourism business and also as a pyro / fireworks operator. He is also a Justice of the peace for Jamaica.
Peter is a Wedding / Event Planner and destination wedding marketing Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in event management and is a partner and consultant for IDo Jamaica magazine and the online wedding marketplace idojamaicamagazine.com. He also sits as a Director and Partner in Visit Jamaica Villas and is the founder of Destinationweddmarket.com.
